A litter box can be used by a cat as well as a dog. Litter training should be done as early as possible preferably when your cat is just a kitten, or when your dog is just a puppy. There are generally two types of litter boxes, ordinary and electronic. The ordinary one is an open box that you can place your litter in and clean every now and then. Then there is the electronic one which is equipped with a sensor that senses when your dog or cat is done, and rakes the waste in a low-lying compartment. This compartment can be disposed off. This avoids smell and the need for you to clean the litter box yourself.
