The strong hind legs and back make your cat a great climber. It is in its very nature to sit atop something and snooze. A cat perch is something that you could make or buy and put in the right corner of the house. It must encourage the cat to jump and play around. You could have a simple perch next to the window or a more elaborate perch that could also be used as a condo. Perches should go with the décor of the room where it is kept. With a cat perch in place, the pet would stop trying to climb over anything unsafe such as a pile of books or cardboard boxes.
